Renew your domain and set auto-renew

A domain name is registered for at least one year and needs to be renewed to stay yours. Renew in time and you keep your name without interruption.

How renewal works

• A renewal is only complete once your payment has been received, so pay well before the expiry date.
• Renew at least a few days before expiry; do not wait until the last moment.
• You can renew yourself at any time in the control panel, for one or more years, and always add an extra year on top of your current term.

Auto-renew

To avoid ever forgetting, you can enable auto-renew for a domain in the control panel. We also send reminders by e-mail, but it stays your responsibility to keep track of expiry dates, so auto-renew gives peace of mind.

What if you forget?

A domain that is not renewed in time can be deactivated and later placed in quarantine. In many cases you can still reactivate it, sometimes for an extra fee. See domain expired or in quarantine.
